OBSOLETE. See XTA Tester
The XTT series tester is a modular, low cost, high volume mixed-signal
tester. It performs digital, analog and mixed digital/analog tests
over ASIC's at high speed (1MHz max. pattern speed, 125ns edge resolution)
and reliability in conditions of production and experiments. It can
be used to perform PCB in-circuit test and discrete component tests.
The tester provides 64 (expandable to 96) digital channels that can
be assigned either as inputs, outputs or bidirectional channels during
the digital tests, or forced with given voltages or currents through
two common analog buses.
The XTT includes up to 4 low-voltage, 2 high-voltage and 2 high current
programmable power supplies. It also features an acquisition card with
one output and two input channels.
The XTT is controlled by a PC running the Linux operating system (DOS
6.x is also available).
The controlling PC is connected to the tester with a high-speed (100Mb/s)
serial link, using a secure protocol.
This tester has no test head that makes it extremely movable. Application
specific electronics can be added to the tester on the so-called 'loadboard',
which handles also the interface to the DUT (Device Under Test).
The XTT can also hold a programmable interface card that allows communication
to standard and custom handling/probing equipment.
All design and evaluation software as well as all libraries are distributed
under open source policy to allow easy integration of the tester into
already existing setups.
Diagnostics, calibration and certification are so easy that it can
be done in-house.
There are five main modifications of the XTT tester:
- XTT-1.0.0 - Standard 64 channel ASIC tester
- XTT-1.1.0 - High-voltage 64 channel ASIC tester
- XTT-1.2.0
- High-voltage 64 channel acquisition ASIC tester
- XTT-2.0.0 - Standard
96 channel ASIC tester
- XTT-2.1.0 - High-voltage 96 channel ASIC tester
