XTA Basic Features

  • PC controlled through an USB 1.1. - 12 Mbit/s link.
  • Up to 1 M digital patterns of up to 255 loops each can be run over 128 channels at a programmable speed of 9760 to 40 million vectors per second.

    Output levels programmable for groups of eight channels of consecutive numbers within the range -12 V to 12 V with resolution of 2 mV.

    Input threshold levels programmable for groups of eight channels of consecutive numbers within the range -9 V to 10 V with resolution of 2 mV.

    Pattern sequence performance as a whole can be modulated in eight frames.
  • Six outstanding power supplies programmable within the range -110 V to 110 V with resolution better than 4 mV.

    Current limitation can be programmed within the range ±500 mA (±250 mA, when output voltage higher than 55 V) with resolution of 0.5 µA (21 µA, when output current higher than 10 mA).
  • Four high-stability voltage sources programmable within the range -12 V to 12 V with resolution better than 0.5 mV. Each source supports 64 channels.

    Supplying current measured within 4 ranges: ±10 mA, 1 mA, 100 µA and 10 µA with respective resolutions of 400 nA, 40 nA, 4 nA and 0.4 nA.
  • Four high stability current sources programmable within 3 ranges: ±10 mA, 1 mA, 100 µA with respective resolutions of 1 µA, 100 nA, 10 nA.
  • Each channel voltage measurement as well as all other measurements rely on a 16-bit 100 ks/s ADC.
  • Data acquisition card providing two 1 MΩ / 50 Ω inputs, and arbitrary waveform generator output.

    Input ranges: ±100 V, ±20 V, ±10 V and ±2 V at 1 MΩ, and ±1 V at 50 Ω (direct input) featuring 12-bit resolution and 128k sampling memory per input channel.

    Output generator range ±10 V and waveform memory depth of 128 k.

    Sampling rate of generation and acquisition programmable within the range 23 kHz to 40 MHz.

    Duty-cycle programmable up to 40 MHz frequency generator with TTL output.

    Frequency / pulse-width measurement 16-bit counter with programmable reference frequency (up to 40 MHz) and TTL input.
  • Two timing measurement units with accuracy better than 0.5 ns.
  • Eight-bit output digital bus to loadboard with an outstanding common pin that facilitates the output levels programming.
  • Eight-bit input digital bus from loadboard with an outstanding common pin that facilitates the input threshold levels' programming.
  • Serial interface (RS-232) to Loadboard.
  • Machine-interface card provides eight outputs with programmable high-logic levels within the range from 1.25 V to 11.25 V with resolution of 2.4 mV, four inputs with programmable threshold levels within the range from 0V to 10V with resolution of 2.4 mV and 4 TTL-compatible level non-programmable inputs.
