XH are gravity fed handlers designed to test SO packaged devices.
There
are six main types of the handler:
- XH1L - wide temperature (-40°C..+150°C) handler for 150-mil
SO packages;
- XH1H - high temperature (+25°C..+150°C) handler
for 150-mil SO packages;
- XH1R - standard handler for 150-mil SO
packages;
- XH3L - wide temperature (-40°C..+150°C) handler
for 300-mil SO packages;
- XH3H - high temperature (+25°C..+150°C)
handler for 300-mil SO packages;
- XH3R - standard handler for 300-mil
SO packages.
Every XH handler can work as a standalone handler, or as a part of
an in-line system. Devices are loaded into the input track of the
handler automatically, using a tube shuttle loader, or manually,
using an input
tube holder. The devices inside the input track are soaked to pre-set
temperature, then singulated and one by one tested in the contact
block by the XTT tester.
The tested devices are sorted in two categories and collected in tubes.
When full, the tubes are replaced manually, using an output tube holder,
or automatically from a tube shuttle unloader. Both the loader and
the unloader tube shuttles can work with standard plastic and aluminum
tubes for 150-mil and 300-mil SOIC devices.
A computer controls and constantly monitors the handler's operation
by the use of optical sensors placed along the path. In case of a jam
or need of loading/unloading, the program displays an appropriate message.
Light and a sound signals attract the operator's attention. A user-friendly
interface enables the operator to set up the system parameters according
to the type of handler and device.
The In-line system consists of 3 handlers working at different temperatures
- cold, hot and ambient.
